In Poltava region there was a deadly road accident involving a long-distance Mercedes-Benz and KrAZ . The accident was killed by a minibus passenger, two more people were injured.
In the Poltava region, a long -distance minibus collided with a KrAZ truck. As a result of an accident, a man was killed, two more people were injured, criminal proceedings were initiated, police reports.
The traffic accident happened on February 8 at about 00:30 on the Kiev-Kharkiv-Zadonsky highway, near the village of Verkhola, Poltava district.
According to the previous version of the investigation, the Mercedes-Benz long-distance minibus (Kharkiv-Rivne), which was driven by a 64-year-old resident of Rivne region, collided with a KrAZ truck, driven by a 36-year-old Poltava.
As a result of the collision, a 46-year-old minibus passenger was killed on the spot and a 27-year-old passenger with injuries was hospitalized. The injuries were also injured by the Mercedes-Benz driver. He was examined by doctors. It was without hospitalization.
The other 16 passengers of a minibus (of which 4 children), who were in the cabin of the vehicle at the time of the accident were not injured.
The Mercedes-Benz minibus driver detained police in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issue of notifying him about suspicion and election of a preventive measure is resolved.
On this fact, the investigative unit of the police of the region under the procedural leadership of the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office opened criminal proceedings on the grounds of criminal offense provided for in Article 286 (286 of Article 286 (violation of traffic safety rules or operation of transport by a person who manages the vehicle that caused the death of the victim).
