The projectile of the Second World War was found during field work in the Buchan district

In the village of Shibne, in the Buchan district of Kyiv region, a farmer found a suspicious object during agricultural work, which, as it was later revealed, turned out to be a mine of World War II.

The incident was informed by the press service of the Mobile Rescue Center for Fast Response of the SES of Ukraine. According to the sappers, the dangerous find was seized by specialists after prompt departure.

“The incident happened directly during agricultural work. Pyrotechnics arrived promptly. After the survey of the territory, it was found that the object was found - a mortar mine of 82 mm caliber, which laid in the ground for more than 70 years, ”the SES reported.

The projectile was seized and sent to a special landfill for further controlled destruction.

Rescuers emphasize that in the case of suspicious objects they can not be touched, moved or disassembled. The findings should be reported immediately by the SES or police.
