The Ukrainian winter is finally showing its character. On December 12, the country will experience cloudy and cool weather with snowfall and rain in the south and east, the Ukrhydrometeorological Center reports.
Forecasters predict light precipitation, mainly in the form of snow. Moderate rain with sleet is possible in the southern and eastern regions. At night, ice and sleet may form in the central and Kharkiv regions, so drivers should be careful on the roads.
No precipitation is expected in the northern, western, Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions during the day. However, there will be icy roads almost throughout the country, with the exception of the southern and southeastern regions.

- Carpathian Highlands: -3…-8 °C at night, -1…-6 °C during the day.
A cold northwest wind at a speed of 7-12 m/s will make the frost feel even more intense.

In the capital, the day will start with snow, which will gradually weaken and stop by mid-day.

According to the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, severe frosts and snowfalls are expected in Ukraine in the coming days. In some regions, the weather will change to dry, but the frosts will not recede. Therefore, warm clothes, winter tires, and caution on the road are a must-have for the coming days.
