Ukrainian winter is finally showing its character. On December 12, cloudy and cool weather awaits the country with snowfalls and rains in the south and east, reports the Ukrhydrometeorological center.
Forecasters predict light precipitation mainly in the form of snow. Moderate rain with sleet is possible in the southern and eastern regions. At night, ice and wet snow may form in the central and Kharkiv regions, so drivers should be careful on the roads.
In the northern, western, Vinnytsia and Cherkasy regions, no precipitation is expected during the day. However, there will be ice on the roads almost all over the country, with the exception of the southern and southeastern regions.

- Carpathian highlands: -3...-8 °C at night, -1...-6 °C during the day.
A cold northwesterly wind at a speed of 7-12 m/s will add an even greater sensation to the frost.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, severe frosts and snowfall are expected in Ukraine in the coming days. In some areas, the weather will change to dry, but the frosts will not recede. Therefore, warm clothes, winter tires and caution on the road are a must for the following days.
