This weekend, December 7 and 8, the weather in Ukraine will be wet and changeable. Wet snow, rain and ice will cover most regions, but warm air masses will significantly raise the temperature background. It will be especially comfortable in the south and in the Crimea, where the temperature will rise to +14 °C, forecaster Ihor Kibalchich said.
Saturday: wet snow and the first signs of warming
In the west of Ukraine, wet snow is expected in the afternoon, which will turn into rain. In the Carpathians during the day -1...-5 °C, in the lowlands -1...+4 °C. Morning fogs and ice can become dangerous for drivers.
Heavy precipitation in the form of sleet and rain is also expected in the north. The temperature will range from -1 to +4 °C. Difficult situation on the roads due to ice and fog.
Central regions will see cloudy weather with rain and drizzle. The wind is moderate, the temperature will reach +1...+6 °C during the day.
The south will become the warmest part of the country. Daytime temperatures will rise to +7...+12 °C, and the air in Crimea will warm up to +14 °C. The wind is strong in places, with gusts up to 15-17 m/s.
Eastern Ukraine will remain under the influence of dry weather. The temperature during the day will be between -2...+3 °С, but ice is expected on the roads.
Sunday: rains in the west, dryness in the east and warm Crimea
It will rain in the west during the day, wet snow is possible in the mountains. The temperature during the day will remain at the level of +1...+6 °C, but ice and fog will remain.
In the north, precipitation is expected only at night and in the morning. The air temperature will remain within -1...+4 °С.
Central regions will spend Sunday without precipitation. The daytime temperature will be +1...+6 °C, and the wind will remain moderate.
Southern regions will meet Sunday with mostly dry weather, rains are possible only in Crimea and Odesa. During the day, thermometers will show +5...+10 °C, and in Crimea - up to +14 °C.
The east will remain without precipitation. The temperature will range from -2 to +3 °C, but the wind will increase to 9-14 m/s.
Forecasters warn of a significant strengthening of the south-easterly wind, especially on Saturday. Ice is expected on the roads in most regions, which will create a danger for both drivers and pedestrians.
