On October 29, the weather in the Carpathian highlands was cloudy and frosty, with significant amounts of snow falling in places. This was reported by the mountain rescuers of the Carpathian region.

According to their data, in the morning visibility on Mount Pip Ivan Chornohirsky was extremely low - up to 30 meters. The wind was blowing southwest at a speed of 15-17 m/s, and the air temperature dropped to -3°C. At the summit, drifts of fresh snow up to 80 cm high formed in places.
Pip Ivan Mountain, also known as Pip Ivan Chornohirsky or Chorna Hora, is one of the highest peaks of the Ukrainian Carpathians, reaching 2,028.5 meters. It is located at the southeastern end of the main ridge of the Chornohir massif, on the border of Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions.
Rescuers remind tourists and climbers to exercise caution when climbing, as difficult weather conditions at the summit increase the risk of accidents.
