On December 26, Ukraine will experience a noticeable change in weather conditions. After several frosty days, the air temperature will gradually rise throughout the country. At the same time, forecasters predict continuous cloudiness, snow in most regions, and increased wind. Only in the far west is significant precipitation not expected.
It will be cloudy and snowy in Kyiv during the day. The temperature will drop to -6° at night and rise to +1° during the day.
In the west of the country, weather conditions will be somewhat calmer. In Lviv and Lutsk, cloudy weather with clearings is expected, without significant precipitation. At night there it will be about -6°, during the day the temperature will fluctuate around 0…+1°. In Uzhhorod, forecasters predict -5° at night and up to +1° during the day with variable cloudiness.
Cloudy weather with snow will persist in the central regions. In Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kropyvnytskyi, and Poltava, the temperature will drop to -6° at night, and around 0° during the day. A similar situation is expected in Zhytomyr and Dnipro, where daytime temperatures are forecast to reach +1°.
In the north of the country - in Chernihiv and Sumy - it will also be cloudy with snow. The air temperature at night will be about -6°, rising to +1° during the day.
The southern regions will remain in the zone of winter precipitation. In Odessa, Mykolaiv and Kherson, forecasters predict cloudy weather with snow. At night, the temperature will drop to -6...-7°, during the day the air will warm up to +1°.
Colder weather will persist in the east of the country. In Kharkiv, daytime temperatures are expected to drop to -2°C, in Kramatorsk and Severodonetsk - to -4°C, with nighttime frosts to -7°C. All these cities are forecast to see mostly cloudy skies and snow.
In Crimea, in particular in Simferopol, it will also be cloudy with snow on December 26. The temperature will range from -6° at night to +2° during the day.
Forecasters warn that traffic may be complicated due to precipitation and wind on the roads, so drivers should be careful.
