The earth will be covered by a magnetic storm of red level. This was warned by the US Space weather forecasting center (SWPC NOAA). Geomagnetic activity will reach K-index 4.7-it is close to a strong level, and can adversely affect the well-being of weather dependent people.
According to experts, high levels of magnetic activity will remain only one day. Already on July 9, the geomagnetic situation will stabilize: only weak vibrations with K-index 2.7 and 1.7, respectively, are expected.
What is a magnetic storm and how does it work?
Magnetic storms occur through flashes in the sun, which eject charged particles in the direction of the Earth. Once in the magnetosphere, they cause geomagnetic perturbations-it is they that captures K-index. Values up to 4 are considered insignificant, and already with K-index 5 storms are considered strong and potentially dangerous.
Among the possible consequences are headache, increased pressure, insomnia, fatigue, exacerbation of chronic diseases, emotional instability.
How to help yourself during a magnetic storm?
Doctors and meteorologists recommend that you follow a few simple rules:
-
A full sleep and rest is the key to a stable state of health.
-
Light food: Avoid fatty, fried, salty and alcohol.
-
More water and herbal tea, less coffee.
-
Walking in the open air, but without a long stay under the sun.
-
Easy exercise - yoga, walking, stretching.
-
A contrast shower in the morning and a warm bath in the evening can normalize the state of the nervous system.
-
Avoid stress and conflict - the nervous system is vulnerable on these days.
-
People with chronic diseases are advised to have medicines and avoid loads.
Magnetic activity forecasts are updated every three hours, so you should monitor the information of the Center for Space Weather in real time.
