Over the past day, Russian troops have carried out numerous attacks on civilian energy infrastructure in a number of Ukrainian regions, which has led to serious disruptions in the supply of electricity. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
Shelling affected Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions.
Dnipropetrovsk region: As a result of the attacks, the substation, household consumers and water supply were cut off twice. In addition, another substation supplying electricity to the railway was damaged, but there were no disruptions in the movement of trains. The power supply was restored according to the backup scheme.
Sumy Oblast: Shelling of an overhead line led to the blackout of a substation and household consumers in Kharkiv Oblast. The power supply was restored according to the backup scheme.
Poltava region: During the air alarm, the overhead line was disconnected, which led to the blackout of consumers. Power has been restored.
Chernihiv region: As a result of the shelling, overhead lines were disconnected, causing 947 subscribers in 15 settlements to lose power.
Donetsk region: Equipment was damaged during shelling of the territory of one of the mines. There were no people in the mine at the time of the incident. One person received medical assistance.
