March 31 is the deadline for passing identification at the Pension Fund, and those who fail to pass it will simply stop receiving pensions.
We are talking about pensioners from among IDPs. But not about new migrants who received this status after the start of a full-scale war, but about those who were registered as internally displaced persons before February 24, 2022. That is, about Donetsk, Luhansk, and Crimean pensioners, whom the authorities required to undergo checks every 3-6 months back in 2014.
There are several ways to pass identification.
1 Go in person to a branch of Oschadbank or a division of the Pension Fund with an identity document.
2. Pass identification remotely - using the qualified electronic signature “Signature Action” through your personal account on the Pension Fund's electronic services web portal.
3. Via video conferencing in the territorial bodies of the Pension Fund.
4. In foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine, if the person is abroad. The latter must issue a certificate stating that “the individual is alive.” That is, the authorities want to make sure that there is no abuse of pensions, and payments are not accrued, for example, to citizens who have already died.
5. In addition, Oschadbank will regularly, by the 25th of each month, notify the Pension Fund about IDP citizens who have not made any transactions with their pension cards in the last 6 months. “That is, you cannot simply accumulate pensions on the card,” says Kravets.
What will happen if you do not pass identification? The Cabinet of Ministers' resolution clearly states that there will be no pension payments after March 31, 2024.
