Special pensions for security forces: pension costs may increase to UAH 120 billion by the end of 2024

According to the data of the Ministry of Social Policy, the costs of paying special pensions to security forces in Ukraine from the beginning of 2024 amounted to approximately 88 billion hryvnias. By the end of the year, this amount may increase to 120 billion hryvnias. This is reported by Forbes Ukraine.

This is more than the amount allocated for education in the budget - UAH 103 billion, People's Deputy Zheleznyak notes.

Thanks to courts and disability status, the final payment of a security guard can reach UAH 100,000 per month - ten times more than that of other citizens.

The parliament and the government are preparing to change the rules for receiving special pensions and the status of a person with a disability, as well as to liquidate MSEK.
