The Special Representative of the United States of America Kit Kellog plans to visit Ukraine after participating in the Munich Security Conference on February 14-16.
Georgy Tykhy, a spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, said this at a briefing. “There are working dates. We never announce visits in advance for security reasons, but we really expect this visit in February, ”the quiet said.
According to him, the Ukrainian delegation will have contacts with Kellog at the Munich Conference. During the visit to Ukraine, it will be accompanied by a delegation, now its composition is formed:
“We expect contacts and then this visit. I will not go into specific details and dates. I just confirm that the visit is very important. It is an opportunity for us to convey detailed information about the condition at the front, about our vision of ways to a fair and comprehensive peace. And we will definitely use this chance. ”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also commented on Kellog's words about the need for concessions from both countries, urging to concentrate on the concessions from Russia.
“Ukraine has not attacked anyone. Ukraine was attacked. And the path to just peace lies through the cessation of Russian aggression. First of all, it is necessary to focus on how to stop this aggression, and how to ensure that it does not repeat, ”the quiet emphasized.
The ministry spokesman also repeated that Ukraine needs strong comprehensive security guarantees, which will guarantee that the Russian attack will not happen.
Separately, the quiet reported that contact between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is currently being worked out. “The work is being done.
