Ukrainian singer and actress, Honored Artist of Ukraine Antonina Matvienko reported a physical attack that happened to her during a taxi trip. The incident happened on June 30 in Kiev, Pechersk, around 3:00 pm. According to the artist, the driver of the service Bolt first hit her in the head and then into the shoulder.
Matvienko wrote about it on Instagram, adding that she addressed the police:
“The driver got out of the car and hit me first in his head and then into his shoulder. I turned to law enforcement agencies. This day was humiliated and shock for me. "
The Kiev police confirmed the fact of the attack. According to militiamen, there was a conflict between the passenger and the driver, which grew into physical violence. After the incident, the driver left the scene, but the operatives managed to quickly identify his identity and detain. The attacker was a 63-year-old local resident.
Criminal proceedings were opened against the man under Part 1 of Art. 126 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - beatings and muzzles. The pre -trial investigation is currently underway.
The Bolt taxi platform has not yet commented on the incident.
