Electricity consumption in Ukraine increased by 5%: Ukrainians are asked to save

Against the background of a decrease in weather conditions, in particular, a decrease in temperature and cloudiness, electricity consumption in Ukraine increased by 5% compared to the previous day. This creates additional burdens on the energy system of the country, in the conditions of which it is already necessary to implement the electricity economy regime.

"Today, November 8, as of 9:30 a.m., the level of consumption was 5% higher than the previous day - Thursday, November 7," the company reported.

This was explained by a decrease in air temperature compared to the previous day. And also - the establishment of cloudy weather in most regions of Ukraine, except for the southern regions, which leads to a decrease in the efficiency of household SPPs

"During the hours of maximum consumption in the morning and evening, there is a power deficit in the power system. Please do not turn on several powerful electrical appliances simultaneously from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the evening," Ukrenergo stressed.

Imports

It will take place during the day from Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Moldova. The total volume is 2,395 MW•h, with a maximum capacity of up to 307 MW in individual hours.
