Justice on the side of criminals? The well-known criminal authority Zhuravel, who attacked the police with a weapon, was released

The well-known criminal authority Viktor Zhuravel (known as Vikha), who was detained in the city of Brovary for an attack on police officers , was released on bail.

On May 10, during the court session regarding the establishment of a preventive measure for Crane, the prosecutor's office insisted on keeping him in custody during the investigation without the possibility of making bail.

However, the judge of the Brovar city district court of the Kyiv region, Oleksandr Skrypka, did not consider any of the arguments of the prosecutors to be serious enough. After six hours of hearings, he decided that being held without bail was too harsh for the controversial criminal. Thus, the court ordered him to be detained for two months - until July 8. Despite this, the amount of the deposit was only 242 thousand hryvnias.

According to the information provided by our source in the prosecutor's office, such a bail amount shocked everyone, since the suspect can pay it immediately. On the other hand, the law enforcement officers have no doubts about Viktor Zhuravly's ability to obstruct the investigation and put pressure on witnesses.

The judge's decision caused considerable indignation on social networks. Users express doubts whether this is really the court of Brovary district, or perhaps Baryshivskyi. Some believe that the bail set for the "armed baron" is too low. Others argue that this is just a "theatrical ruling" and perhaps "money decides everything" and "judges should also be held accountable".

Judge Oleksandr Skrypka, who made the controversial decision, previously worked in the Zhytomyr District Court. However, several years ago he was transferred to Brovary by order of the High Council of Justice dated June 3, 2021.

According to Slidstva.info, the judge of the Zhytomyr District Court and candidate for the High Anti-Corruption Court, Oleksandr Skrypka, did not indicate any place of residence near his place of work . Apparently, the judge travels almost two hundred kilometers every day to get to work. His only declared place of residence is a house in a village in the Kyiv region.

According to the declaration, the judge lives with his wife, three children and parents. Oleksandr Skrypka immediately declared two residential buildings in the village of Rogoziv, Kyiv region, which belong to his father and mother. In addition, the judge's family owns land plots with a total area of about 17 hectares and a granary with an area of almost 400 square meters.

The judge's wife, Tetyana Skrypka, works in the executive committee of the Boryspil city council and is the head of the Rogoziv community.

According to Stopkor, in April 2023 Oleksandr Skrypka made three decisions in a row in favor of pro-Russian scandalous "sand" cases .
