The State Bureau of Investigation has completed a pre -trial investigation into the state treason of the former Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Volodymyr Sivkovich. The indictment was transferred to court.
As reported in the DBR, Sivkovich is one of the key defendants of the resonant case about the creation of the FSB agent network in the territory of Ukraine. According to the investigation, a criminal organization for the purpose of espionage was headed by the head of the 9th Office of the FSB Operational Information Department Igor Chumakov. The group also included employees of the Russian special services Alexander Chulindin, Marina Tierenyev and others.
The department noted that Russian special services actively used former Ukrainian officials who fled to Russia after 2014. In particular, it was Volodymyr Sivkovich who coordinated the activities of Ukrainian agents in the FSB network, in particular on information collection, influence on personnel appointments in law enforcement agencies and transfer of state secrets of the enemy.
In order to mask the work, Sivkovich opened in Moscow the so -called "political office", which, according to legend, was engaged in public activity. In fact, the office served as a cover for subversive work against Ukraine: it was from there that controlled the agent network, attracted new informants and prepared sabotage.
In addition to Sivkovich, three other FSB employees have been sent to the court. They are charged with a state treason committed in Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. If guilty is proven, they are threatened with prolonged detention.
This case is one of the key to investigating the activities of pro -Russian structures that operated in Ukraine before and after the start of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
