In Kiev, the Pechersk District Court found the guilty of Alexander Izhko for trying to bribe the SBU employee in the amount of $ 50,000. For this, a man received a fine of 17 thousand hryvnias.
About it reports the newspaper 368.Media with reference to the judgment of the court in case No. 757/52465/23-k, qualified under Part 1 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, Izhko, a native of Cherkasy, in August-September 2023 he repeatedly offered a bribe of the SBU employee for assistance in the issue of receiving Ukrainian citizenship by a citizen of the Russian Federation. It was about giving the SBU a positive conclusion about the "absence of obstacles" to acquire citizenship by a foreigner.
In particular, Izhko met with an officer on August 22, September 13 and September 19, 2023 and suggested to transfer a bribe of $ 50,000. His actions were documented by law enforcement.
On January 10, 2025, the defendant concluded an agreement with the prosecutor, fully pleading guilty, repented and agreed to cooperate with the investigation into the disclosure of other corruption crimes.
In view of this, the Court approved the Agreement on the plea and imposed a fine of 1000 non -taxable minimum incomes of citizens - UAH 17,000. He is also obliged to pay UAH 23,000 for judicial expert costs.
The sentence has already entered into force.
