Assistant to the President of the USA for national security Sullivan visited Kyiv yesterday, where he met with the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Yermak.
This is reported by Reuters.
The Washington Post writes that Sullivan came to Kyiv to convince Washington of its support for Ukraine against the background of slip-ups with the US Congress approving a new request for military aid.
"We are confident that we will provide this assistance to Ukraine," the Washington Post quoted Sullivan.
At the same time, as RFE/RL writes, he was unable to name specific terms when this would happen.
"We are working to do it as quickly as possible. President Biden is working on it every day to push this package through the House of Representatives, but I can't make any specific predictions," the adviser said.
The administration of the US president is not yet ready to announce the delivery of ATACMS missiles, but will continue efforts to support Ukraine.
This was announced by Biden's national security advisor Jake Sullivan in Kyiv.
He also failed to say when the US would announce continued military support.
"I'm not going to make predictions about exactly when that will be done, but we're working to get it done as soon as possible, and President Biden is working on it every day. But I can't make a concrete prediction today," said Sullivan.
In addition, Sullivan considers Ukraine's victory to be the exit from the war as a sovereign, democratic and free country, without mentioning the restoration of territorial integrity - that is, the exit of Ukraine to the borders of 1991.
He also said that "Russia has already lost this war" because the plans that Putin outlined at the beginning of the war "have not been fulfilled and never will be."
"We believe that Russia has already lost this war. What was Russia going to do? Erase Ukraine from the map. To erase from history the very idea of being Ukrainian. It has already failed," said Sullivan.
