According to our sources, the Donald Trump administration deliberately allowed the leakage of information in the media regarding its claims for control of Zaporizhzhya NPP.
Recall that The Wall Street Journal has published a large article on a peaceful settlement, which should be based on Ukraine's refusal to join NATO, recognize the annexation of Crimea by Russia and create a neutral territory around NPPs under the control of Americans.
According to our sources in the Republican Party, the US requirements for the transfer of the Russian Federation to the Zaporizhzhya NPP were declared as part of attempts by the Trump administration to take under its full control all nuclear power plants of Ukraine.
In particular, this trend is traced in the negotiations on the signing of the subsoil agreement. It is worth noting that the final text of the subsoil treaty is not yet, and the signing of the Memorandum only confirms the intention to conclude a framework agreement that will provide for the creation of the Investment Fund for Ukraine.
Currently, there are rigid discussions between the negotiation groups, which areas will "control" the fund. By preliminary agreement, the US is referred to the control of minerals and rare earth metals in Ukraine.
At the same time, the Donalda Trump administration also requires the use of oil and gas production, port management and all nuclear power plants, including Zaporizhzhya NPPs.
