By the third anniversary of Russia against Ukraine, the United States of America presented a draft resolution at the UN, which aims to support Ukraine's territorial integrity and condemn Russia's aggression. The project contains three main points aimed at strengthening Ukraine's international support and pressure on the aggressor country.
The document presented by Washington contains three main points. It, in particular, refers to the sorrow for human lives lost during the war, and calls for a peaceful settlement of the conflict. The United States emphasize the need to cease hostilities as quickly as possible and establish a long -term peace between Ukraine and the aggressor. At the same time, the Russian Federation has already made amendment, demanding that the "elimination of the root causes of the conflict", which reflects the Kremlin's position on key aspects of war.
Representatives of terrorists at the UN positively appreciated the US project, expressing their willingness to support it subject to Russian amendment. At the same time, New York consultations on the Ukrainian-European resolution are already underway, which calls for immediate termination of hostilities and restoration of diplomatic efforts for peaceful settlement of conflict on the basis of international law.
The position of Ukraine and the EU is more specifically focused on the achievement of peace and the de -escalation of violence, emphasizing the importance of diplomacy. In turn, the US text has less specific requirements and is more focused on the general principles of the UN on peace and security.
