Amid the US State Department's decision to suspend foreign aid for 90 days, military support for Ukraine remains stable thanks to previously approved aid packages, Andriy Kovalenko, head of the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, reported on his Telegram channel on Saturday.
"US military assistance continues, in particular, under the military assistance packages that were approved earlier. This allows us to provide Ukraine with the necessary resources to resist Russian aggression," Kovalenko noted.
This statement refutes any rumors that the suspension of foreign aid will affect military support, in particular, under already signed agreements. The United States, despite internal political processes, continues to fulfill its obligations to Ukraine in the form of defense assistance. This includes the supply of weapons, equipment and training for the Ukrainian military.
Recall that the 90-day suspension was due to domestic political issues in the United States, but this should not lead to a decrease in the level of support for Ukraine in the international arena. According to experts, such a decision will not change the strategic direction of the United States in supporting Ukraine in times of war.
