Ukraine will receive $15 billion from the United States, secured by future revenues from frozen Russian assets. Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this in his Telegram channel.
"The corresponding agreement was signed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance and the World Bank. These will be funds within the framework of the PEACE in Ukraine project and part of the US contribution in the amount of 20 billion dollars under the initiative of the G7, which will be directed to social and humanitarian expenses," said Shmyhal.
The Prime Minister also thanked the United States and the World Bank for implementing and supporting the initiative that makes Russia pay for its aggression against Ukraine.
On December 23, the state budget of Ukraine received the seventh tranche in the amount of about 1.1 billion dollars from the IMF within the framework of the four-year Extended Financing Mechanism (EFF) program.
Vasyl Furman, a member of the board of the National Bank of Ukraine, reported that Ukraine will receive about $38 billion in external international financial aid in 2025.
On December 27, the state budget of Ukraine received a tranche in the amount of 485 million dollars under the World Bank project "Supporting public expenditures to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine" (PEACE in Ukraine).
