The United States allocated $700 million to support Ukraine's energy system, which suffered from Russian attacks

During his visit to Kyiv, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced the allocation of an additional $700 million by the United States to support Ukraine's energy system.

This financial assistance is aimed at rebuilding infrastructure that has suffered significant damage as a result of Russian missile strikes during the war.

▪️$325 million will go to the repair and restoration of power generation facilities, provision of emergency back-up power supply and strengthening of energy infrastructure security.

▪️About $290 million will be used to finance food, water, housing, healthcare and educational programs for Ukrainians who need it and refugees outside the country.

▪️The balance of $102 million will be used for demining.
