In the country's energy system, there is no shortage of electricity, as the production of Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, a small import of electricity up to 2 MW/h is currently planned, and no export is planned.
It is noted that the state of the country's power system on the morning of January 7 is balanced, and after emergency repairs, one of the units of the thermal power plant (TPP) resumed operation. However, the Ministry of Energy calls on citizens to use electricity responsibly, stressing the importance of reducing the load on the power system during peak hours, in particular, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekends.
In the Donetsk region, due to hostilities, the power supply of two mines was cut off, while 18 workers were there at the time of the cutoff. Also, in the Dnipropetrovsk region, an explosive object and the remains of a rocket were found near the oil pipeline, and relevant services are working on the spot.
The hostilities resulted in damage to the equipment on the territory of the TPP in the Donetsk region, and in the Kharkiv region, the PL 110 overhead line was shut down due to enemy shelling, which caused the disconnection of household consumers.
In total, according to the Ministry, during the past day, five regions of Ukraine experienced problems with electricity supply due to hostilities and technical problems. As of the morning of January 7, there are currently no planned shutdowns of household consumers.
