There is no electricity shortage in the country's energy system, as the production of Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet consumer needs. According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, a small import of electricity of up to 2 MW/h is currently expected, and no export is expected.
It is noted that the state of the country's power system as of the morning of January 7 is balanced, and after emergency repairs, one of the units of the thermal power plant (TPP) has resumed operation. However, the Ministry of Energy calls on citizens to use electricity responsibly, emphasizing the importance of reducing the load on the power system during peak hours, in particular, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 18:00 to 20:00 on weekends.
In Donetsk region, due to hostilities, power outages were recorded at two mines, with 18 workers there at the time of the outage. Also, in Dnipropetrovsk region, an explosive object and rocket remnants were discovered near an oil pipeline, and relevant services are working on the site.
The fighting led to damage to equipment at the TPP in the Donetsk region, and in the Kharkiv region, the overhead line PL 110 was shut down due to enemy shelling, which caused the disconnection of household consumers.
In total, according to the Ministry, over the past 24 hours, five regions of Ukraine have experienced power supply problems due to hostilities and technical malfunctions. Currently, no planned power outages for household consumers are expected as of the morning of January 7.
