The court of Lviv fined the injured pedestrian for the road accident

The Frankiv District Court of Lviv issued an unusual decision in the case of a road accident that occurred on October 17 on General Chuprinka Street. In this case, a pedestrian who was hit by a bus was found guilty.

According to court documents, the man violated traffic rules by crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing. He suddenly entered the carriageway, without making sure of the safety of himself and other road users. This forced the bus driver to brake urgently and twist the steering wheel, which led to hitting a pedestrian and causing mechanical damage to the vehicle.

The pedestrian admitted his guilt and asked for a mild punishment. The court, taking this into account, fined him 850 hryvnias, as well as 605 hryvnias in court fees.
