In the Rivne region, the court found the 39-year-old man to commit systematic domestic violence against his wife, stepson and three young children. About it reports the Rivne Regional Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation found that from August 2023 to August 2024 the accused regularly mocked family members, causing them both physical and psychological suffering. His actions have caused the victims of constant deterioration, fear for his own safety and deep emotional experiences.
The man already had problems with the law: he was repeatedly prosecuted for domestic violence, which he carried out in the presence of children. However, despite the previous punishment, he did not stop, but on the contrary - he went to physical violence with the causing bodily harm to his wife and stepson.
During the trial, the accused fully pleaded guilty.
The Rivne City Court appointed him 1 year of restraint of liberty. This means that it will be supervised and will be limited in the right of free movement, but will not be kept in prison.
The sentence has not yet entered into force. The parties have the right to appeal it on appeal.
