The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine (SAC) decided to seize the mobile phone of the director of Interpipe Ukraine LLC Denys Morozov. The decision was made in connection with the search conducted on July 18. As reported, a Samsung SM-G975F/DS phone was seized during a search of Morozov's residence. The device is equipped with a logical protection system, which made it difficult to access information on it.
The search was carried out as part of the NABU's investigation into the possible overestimation of prices for the purchase of casing pipes. According to suspicions, losses of at least UAH 18 million could have been caused to the state due to a possible collusion between Interpipe Ukraine LLC (which is controlled by Viktor Pinchuk through offshore) and Ukrnafta PJSC.
During the search, the director of Interpipe Ukraine LLC, Denys Morozov, on the recommendation of his lawyer, blocked the phone and refused to provide the access password. This made it difficult to review the information on the phone, which became the basis for the decision to seize the device.
The court granted the request of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and seized the mobile phone. The solution is a temporary ban on the use, disposal and alienation of the phone.
The pre-trial investigation revealed that the cost of the pipes specified in contract No. 23/1490-MTR dated August 2, 2023 between Ukrnafta PJSC and Interpipe Ukraine LLC was overstated. According to the investigative version, losses from this deal may amount to at least UAH 18,084,993.91 (including VAT). The overestimation of the value of the goods could have been carried out through resale between legal entities, which includes LLC "Interpipe NIKO TUBE", AT "Interpipe Novomoskovskiy trubny zavod" and LLC "Interpipe Ukraine", which in turn supplied the goods to PJSC "Ukrnafta".
The investigation is ongoing, and NABU detectives continue to collect evidence. Prosecutors are preparing to submit relevant materials to the court for further consideration of the case.
