In the case of the removal of the mayor of Irpen Alexander Markushin - another legal deadlock. The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv did not make a decision to continue his removal from office. According to the law, dated June 20, the head of Irpen was automatically renewed.
This was reported by Miller Law Company, which represents the interests of Markushin. According to the lawyers, on June 17, the investigator of the DBR filed a petition in court to extend the term of removal. However, on June 19, the judge, who had to consider the issue, went to the conference room in another case and did not complete the consideration.
The next day, June 20, when the period of existing removal expired, the investigator and the prosecutor tried to submit a second request. But another judge refused to consider him, citing the fact that the case was already in the proceedings of her colleague. As a result, the consideration was postponed on June 23.
"This means that from June 20, Alexander Markushin has been renewed as Mayor of Irpen," the law company said.
However, according to the lawyers, within 10 minutes after the end of the meeting, the investigator summoned Marcushin to hand the third request for removal, now under the guise of "new".
"This rush and legal mimicry - proof that the case against the mayor of Irpen has a political basis and is used as a tool of local government raiding," Miller said.
The new request is scheduled for June 23. Meanwhile, Markushin, under the law, has the full right to perform the duties of the mayor.
