The Ukrainian state returned control over the strategic object - part of the main oil pipeline "Samara - Western direction", located in Transcarpathia. The corresponding decision was made by the Economic Court of Transcarpathian region.
The claim was filed by the State Property Fund of Ukraine. The defendants in the case were three companies: Swiss International Trading Partners AG, Ukrainian Prykarpatzakhidtrans LLC and the Southwestern Joint-Stock Company of Pipeline Transport of Oil Products Registered in Russia. It is known that the case is associated with the environment of the pro -Russian politician Viktor Medvedchuk.
The court declared invalid a contract of sale concluded on October 4, 2018 between LLC "Prykarpatzakhidtrans" and a Swiss company, and obliged to return to the state all the property that falls under this treaty.
It is a technological complex of pipeline, located in the village of Rososh Svalyava district. The list of transferred property includes, in particular, industrial blocks, pumping stations, tanks, ozonator, technological wells, slag and underground steel tanks.
This solution is an important step towards restoring control over key infrastructure previously controlled by private companies related to Russian or offshore structures. According to experts, the return of this asset is not only a legal victory, but also a significant strengthening of Ukraine's energy security.
The State Property Fund continues legal work to return other objects that could previously be controlled by persons close to the pro -Russian forces.
