In Artsyza, Odesa Region, an employee of the utility company "Blagoustrii" was injured due to evasion of military obligations. He received a summons, but did not appear for a medical examination at the VLK, because of which the court found him guilty and imposed a fine of 5,100 hryvnias.
According to the verdict of the Artsyz District Court, passed on December 4, the incident occurred after the man received a personally signed summons on November 5. He was warned about the obligation to appear the next day at 09:00 and about criminal liability in case of non-appearance. However, as it turned out, the person involved did not fulfill his duties without valid reasons, and he admitted in court that he avoided military registration due to fear of military action.
During the hearing, the accused pleaded guilty and expressed remorse. The court took these circumstances into account by imposing a minimum penalty in the form of a fine. The verdict can be appealed within 30 days, after which the decision will become legally binding.
