A native of Donetsk region, who temporarily resided in the Khmelnytsky region, received a sentence for justification of Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine. About it reports "Glavkom" with reference to the data of the court register.
In the summer of 2024, the displaced person joined the Roulette Chat, where in a conversation with an unknown blogger he voiced questionable statements about missile strokes in Kiev, in particular regarding the attack on the Ohmatdit Children's Hospital. Initially, the man uncertainly suggested that the blow could have been caused by both Russian rocket and Ukrainian air defense, but later stated that "there were no children but only the military on Okhmatdita."
Also in the conversation, the man criticized the mobilization and acknowledged that he was evading the conscription while wanted.
In court, the displaced person pleaded guilty, concluded an agreement with the prosecutor and publicly condemned his previous actions, noting that he had changed his attitude to the war. He reported that he voluntarily mobilized to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "on patriotic motives".
The court imposed a penalty for five years in prison, replacing him for one year of the trial. The control over the fulfillment of the obligations will be exercised by the commander of his military unit and the probation authority.
In addition, the displaced person was also accused of another case - for evading mobilization. However, the court released him from liability in connection with the "change of situation" - as a result of voluntary accession to the Armed Forces.
