The Brovar City Court made a decision that caused indignation among the public and anti -corruption bodies: the case against Igor Sapozhka was closed. Despite the detailed protocol of the NACC and the prosecutor's office was provided, Judge Vitaliy Anikushin acknowledged that there was no administrative offense in the actions of Sapozhka.
Igor Sapozhko, exmer Brovary, appeared in the case of influencing the heads of utility companies, as well as receiving the benefits of renting a car at an unrealistic low price. The NACC has charged more than 10 pages, but the court did not see the grounds for punishment.
The prosecutor's office notes that during the process, the testimony of the director of Ukrgefest was ignored - one of the defendants of corruption schemes. The court also did not respond to the violation of ethical standards by defense, which, according to prosecutors, further influenced the biased consideration of the case.
The lawyers of Sapozhka, in turn, stated that all the accusations are far -fetched and the protocol is "manipulative and beyond".
The prosecutor's office is currently preparing an appeal to the Kyiv Court of Appeal. At the same time, in society, the disappointment in the ability of the judicial system to respond adequately to cases of corruption among officials.
The lawsuit against Sapozhka was another testimony to how difficult it is to bring influential persons to justice, even with clear evidence.
