A court in Kiev condemned two men to life imprisonment for abduction and hostage murder

The Solomenskyi District Court of Kyiv found two men guilty, 48 and 33, in the abduction and cruel murder of the hostage. Both received life imprisonment. This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.

The crime occurred in 2016, but the trial was delayed for a few changes to the composition of the Judicial College. Each time the process began with repeated interrogations of witnesses. The prosecutor's office has consistently demanded the maximum punishment.

According to the investigation, one of the accused gave the entrepreneur about $ 2 million in debt. The debtor's business went bankrupt and he did not return the money. The lender decided to act by force and attracted a friend to implement the plan.

After learning that the debtor himself is already in captivity by other people, they abducted his father. To keep the hostage, a private house in the Poltava region was rented in advance. The man was seized in Kiev, taken to the house where they were tortured in the basement. They demanded that he write a letter to relatives with a request to raise a ransom - $ 2 million.

The torture was recorded on video. Despite the efforts of the intruders, the family could not raise money. Then the hostage was killed - forced to drink a deadly dose of alcohol with Cloffelin. After death, the body was beheaded, cut off hands, poured cement and buried in the forest, trying to hide the crime.

All of these facts are confirmed by evidence, video recordings and testimony. The court found the actions of the accused by violation of paragraphs 3, 6, 12 of part 2 of Article 115 (premeditated murder) and part 2 of Article 147 of the Criminal Code (hostage capture). Both criminals remain in custody.
