The court in Lviv justified the Chief of State Geocadastre

On May 5, the Galician District Court of Lviv justified the head of the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in the Lviv region Andriy Ketsky in the case of illegal transfer of land.

According to the investigation, in 2015–2016 Kaetsky exceeded the powers and approved land management projects on 30 areas outside settlements in Skole and Turkiv districts. The losses were estimated at about UAH 4 million.

The prosecutor's office claimed that these actions violated the rights of local communities to the disposal of recreational lands. At the same time, Kaetsky did not admit guilt and insisted that he was legally acting.

Judge Oleksandr Kitov admitted that the official was not proven. The sentence can be appealed.

This is the third case for the distribution of land in which Andrei Kaetsky is justified. He heads the regional State Geocadastre with breaks since 2015.
