From February 2023, the Kyiv District Court of Poltava cannot complete the preparatory meeting in the case of Nelly Steppe - the former head of Slavyansk, which is accused of creating a terrorist organization and encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The reason is long -term treatment of the defendant.
The next meeting, which was to take place in July, was postponed again. The prosecutor appealed to the court to carry out a medical examination of the accused. According to the prosecution, it is necessary to obtain the official opinion of the doctors on the possibility of its participation in the trial. It was noted that the stape has repeatedly undergone hospitalization, and the drugs it accept can affect its consciousness.
The court decided to entrust the medical examination of the commission of doctors of Kramatorsk city hospital # 2. The next meeting was scheduled for August 19.
We will remind, the case against Nelly Steppes was opened in 2014. Prior to the commencement of a full -scale war, it was considered by the Ordzhonikidzevsky District Court of Kharkiv under the chairmanship of Judge Elena Glibko. The judge had time to interrogate the defendant and hear several witnesses, but after the invasion of the Russian Federation, the Supreme Court changed territorial jurisdiction and was transferred to Poltava. In April 2023, Judge Glibko resigned.
For over 10 years of consideration, the case has not yet come to consideration.
