The court in the Volyn region sentenced a resident of the region, who was the administrator of a telegram channel about subpoenas, to 5 years of imprisonment, suspended for 2 years.
A resident of the region hosted the "Volyn weather" channel, in which she reported on the places where summonses were issued. The court decision provides details of the investigation. The document states that 22,300 people subscribed to the channel. With the help of a chatbot, to which channel users sent the places of issuing summonses, the channel administrator received information about the places of issuing summonses and published these messages.
"The accused, acting deliberately, realizing the socially dangerous nature of her actions, anticipating the occurrence of socially dangerous consequences in the form of obstructing the legal activity of a military formation in order to ensure the staffing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations in a special period", - reads the court's decision.
Among the messages from the Telegram channel, which blamed the administrator, the following are cited: "epicenter - roundup", "globe - two soldiers without the police again pull people to the arse", "three dodgers in olive uniforms write to a young guy".
The verdict also states that the publication of the places and times of service of summonses to citizens by military personnel "achieved its criminal goal - to enable persons of conscription age to avoid conscription for military service and to hinder the legitimate activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during a special period."
As a result, the court sentenced the accused to 5 years of imprisonment. The accused admitted her guilt, entered into an agreement with the investigation and received a conditional term of 2 years.
