The court in the village of Stara Vyzhivka of Volyn region issued a sentence to six local residents, who were found guilty of creating and conducting the community in the Viber messenger. The group published information on the movement of employees of territorial centers of acquisition (TCC) in Kovelshchyna. The sentence was published in the court register in case No. 168/359/25.
According to the case, in January 2024, one of the accused created a Viber-group, which rapidly gained almost 2,900 participants. The main purpose of the community is to promptly notify the places of delivery of stories. Five more people have joined the administration. The messages indicated the specific addresses and locations where the representatives of the shopping center were. The main administrator moderates content and deleted messages that did not correspond to the topic - this testified to systemic and coordinated activities.
Law enforcement agencies qualified the actions of the accused under Part 3 of Art. 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine-obstruction of the legitimate activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine committed by a group of persons. All the persons involved in the case found the guilt in full and repented.
The prosecutor's office insisted on a real term of imprisonment. At the same time, the court took into account the mitigating circumstances: sincere repentance, lack of grave consequences and cooperation with the investigation. As a result, each of the accused was assigned to five years in prison, but the punishment was replaced with a conditional - with a probationary period.
