The court in Odesa ordered the resettled woman to return 75,000 hryvnias of aid

The Kyiv District Court of Odesa ruled in favor of the Department of Labor and Social Policy of the Odesa City Council, obliging the resettled woman to return 75,000. hryvnia of illegally received accommodation allowance. The case concerned a woman who registered herself and her child as immigrants through the "Diya" portal, but when registering, she provided incomplete information about her place of residence.

In particular, she mentioned only the Shirokiv Territorial Community without indicating the region and district, which caused a misunderstanding. On the basis of such information, she was granted housing allowance, which she was not actually entitled to receive, as her correct place of registration was in another region. This error resulted in the automatic payment of assistance in the amount of 5,000. UAH monthly from March 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023.

According to the case file, the audit established that the woman was entitled to assistance only in March and April 2022. The court decided to collect the overpaid amount from her in favor of the city department of labor and social policy.
