The Sokal District Court of Lviv Oblast found the chief of the coal production of the mine "Renaissance" "Lvivvugillya" of Vasyl Kharkivot in the recruitment of employees for labor operation. The official involved two subordinates in the performance of works in private farms of his relatives without any payment, using his official position.
According to the case file, the Khvalibota, a native of the village of Reklynets, forced electric locksmiths to perform construction and economic work under the threat of dismissal and withdrawal from military reservation. It is about events that lasted during the summer of 2023 - spring 2024.
In particular, in the gardening cooperative "Spring" in Sheptytsky, workers made a partition in a country house. In November 2023 - worked near the house of Khvynibota's father -in -law in the village of Prognov, installing a gate and concreting a fence. And in March 2024-work was carried out on the site of the niece of an official in the village of Reklynets.
The investigation found that relatives did not know that the works were carried out forcibly and free of charge.
During the trial, Vasyl Kharkhnya pleased and asked for condescension. Judge Lydia Farina found him guilty of Part 2 of Art. 149 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - recruitment of persons for the purpose of operation using office. He was appointed five years in prison, but in view of the circumstances, the court released him from the main punishment with the annual term.
The sentence has not entered into force and can be appealed.
