The Economic Court of Kyiv declared invalid a lease of land concluded between the Kyiv Council and the company "Kingsta", and obliged the firm to return the community of 0.1 hectares on Adam Mickiewicz Street, 1-a. The land was transferred to the enterprise without the competition at the end of 2024 according to the so -called "toilet scheme".
The essence of the scheme was that the company gave a large size of the plot only on the ground that it possesses an old public toilet area of only 104 square meters. m. However, as the prosecutor's office established, the land was intended not to serve the existing structure, but for new construction, which is a direct violation of land legislation.
Moreover, the area of the plot is 10 times higher than the area of the toilet itself, and the Kyiv City Council did not provide any legal justification why the companies got this territory. The prosecutor's office challenged the contract in court, and the court set to it, deciding to return the area of the city in good condition.
Kingsta has numerous links with the political environment of the mayor of Kiev Vitaliy Klitschko. In particular, the current owner of the company Valentina Fedoruk is connected with a joint business with the former deputy chairman of the KSCA Alexander Spazibko - a person who was responsible for land issues in the city hall. In addition, she cooperates with the deputy of the Kyiv City Council Elena Ovramenko (faction "UDAR"), who voted for the transfer of this land.
Until recently, the director of Kingsta was Vitaliy Strashok - a person related to the deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the Motherland Anna Sviridenko. Both deputies, according to sources, supported the decision to transfer the site of the company.
It is not yet known whether the company will appeal for this decision. But the judicial verdict has already created a precedent for viewing other similar schemes, which, under the pretext of servicing old kids, the community of Kiev lost valuable city land.
