The judge who threw money out of the window during the search, was released from office

A scandal in the ranks of the Ukrainian Judge Corps: The High Council of Justice finally dismissed the judge of the Alexander District Court of Kirovograd region Pavel Ivchenko. The reason is a gross disciplinary violation that undermines the authority of justice.

It is a resonant case in 2022. At that time, Ivchenko suggested that his acquaintance help to "resolve the issue" about avoiding administrative responsibility for driving while intoxicated. The cost of the service is 60 thousand hryvnias. The case was obeyed in the Kirov district court of Kropyvnytskyi, and it was there that, according to the investigation, the judge tried to intervene with the help of assistants.

According to the prosecution, Ivchenko personally received a thousand dollars. Some of them - $ 600 - he allegedly handed over to the assistant to the judge, who, in turn, had to distribute the funds further, to the assistant to Judge Natalia Ivanova, who considered the case. As it is noted, the assistant was ready to even make fake explanations on behalf of the driver.

However, the situation was not planned: after the detention of one of the persons involved, Judge Ivanov took self -reproduction. Another judge issued a fine of 17 thousand hryvnias and deprivation of the driver's license, but subsequently the Court of Appeal closed the case in the absence of an administrative offense.

Ivchenko's behavior during a search was an indicative moment. When NABU detectives came home, the judge, according to the investigation, threw four notes of $ 100 from the window of the fifth floor.

Despite yet unfinished criminal proceedings in the High Anti -Corruption Court, the High Council of Justice recognized Ivchenko's behavior as shameing the rank of judge. The excavity of the court himself did not appear at the GRP session, referring to the presumption of innocence, but in written explanations he acknowledged that he really "tried to help", although he claimed that he did not do any pressure on the judge and asked that she did not know the situation at all.

Judge Ivanova, in turn, stated that she learned about the intervention after searches began in court. She insists that neither Ivchenko nor his assistants communicated.

Ivchenko was appointed a judge in 2020 and at the time of the investigation was headed by the Alexander District Court. The case and two assistants are currently being considered by Wax. If the guilt is proven, not only the loss of positions but also criminal liability will be waiting for the persons.
