Oleksandr Boyarskyi, a judge from the Odesa region, was arrested for corruption schemes and aiding fraudsters

The judge of the Bilhorod-Dnistrovsky city-district court of the Odesa region, Oleksandr Boyarskyi, was taken into custody by the High Anti-Corruption Court.

He is suspected of receiving $1,500 in illegal benefits for issuing a decision on permission to travel abroad for a conscripted man. The arrest decision was made on January 16, the press service of VACS reports.

The court determined the amount of bail in the amount of UAH 1,059,800. If bail is posted, Boyarsky will be ordered to perform certain duties, including restricting unauthorized movement, reporting changes of residence and employment, refraining from communicating with certain individuals, surrendering foreign passports and wearing an electronic bracelet.

The reasons for the arrest are related to suspicions of corruption schemes and providing assistance to military service evaders. Judge Boyarskyi is currently in custody during the pre-trial investigation, and the term of the preventive measure is set for 60 days.
