Winter in Ukraine is ending with warm, dry, and mostly sunny weather. According to weather forecasters, on February 28, all regions of the country will remain above zero, and in some areas the air will warm up almost to spring temperatures.
The warmest weather this day will be in western Ukraine. The daytime air temperature here will range from +6° to +10°. No precipitation is forecast, variable cloudiness and comfortable weather without sharp changes are expected.
In the northern regions, the temperature will remain lower, but also above zero — from 0° to +4°. Forecasters predict dry weather with clearings.
In the east of the country, daytime temperatures are expected to range from 0° to +5°. No significant precipitation is expected, and the sky will be partly cloudy.
In the central regions, the temperature will fluctuate within +2°…+6°. The weather will remain calm, without precipitation and strong winds.
Warm weather will also persist in southern Ukraine - the air will warm up to +6°...+9°. During the day, variable cloudiness will remain without rain.
On February 28, the church calendar commemorates the memory of St. Basil, the confessor of Prokopov. The people traditionally associated this day with weather signs. It was believed that the bright sun heralded an early and warm spring, and morning fog could indicate a rainy season. Also, our ancestors tried to predict what the coming autumn would be like by the weather on this day.
