Vyshgorod Mayor Oleksiy Momot, who was recently charged with corruption, has declared a significant amount of cash, extensive real estate, and luxury cars. This was reported by the editorial staff of 368.media , referring to the official's declaration.
According to documents, Momot is registered in Vyshgorod, but actually lives in the village of Khotyanivka of the same community. There he also uses a house with an area of 124.9 m², which belongs to Viktor Momot — probably his father. The declaration indicates this as the right to free housing.
Among the declared real estate is a share in a 60 square meter apartment in Vyshgorod, of which 30% belongs to the mayor himself, and the rest to his ex-wife Natalia Momot, who is not formally listed as a family member.
In addition, his daughter Karina owns half of a large residential building with an area of 279.5 m² in Vyshgorod. The other half belongs to Maryna Stupnyk, who is also not listed as a relative in the declaration.
Momota's fleet consists of a Toyota Camry (2015), purchased for UAH 683.3 thousand, and a Tesla Model S (2016), which cost UAH 952 thousand.
Momota's total income for 2024 was 1.45 million hryvnias — this is his salary at the Vyshhorod City Council. At the same time, he declared cash: 28 thousand US dollars and 400 thousand hryvnias.
It is noteworthy that some of the real estate objects in the declaration do not have a specified value, which may complicate the assessment of the official's real wealth.
As a reminder, earlier, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko reported suspicions against Momota in connection with the purchase of a sewer cleaning vehicle at an inflated price. As the investigation revealed, the purchase was made without proper market analysis, which caused budget losses of 736 thousand hryvnias.
Previously, the media had already reported on dubious tenders in Vyshgorod and the concentration of property in the hands of the mayor's entourage. The real estate scheme through relatives and "non-family members" is another touch to the portrait of a public servant who declares more than he explains.
