Lawyers of Ihor Kolomoisky claim that the witnesses in the case are denying the testimony given by the investigation. According to them, over the past 6 months, the investigation has built an indictment based on the testimony of former employees of the bank, who presented the testimony of four people. However, the lawyers' statements are supported by the protocols of re-examination of the witnesses, in which their statements have undergone changes. Some of these witnesses even claim that their words were paraphrased by the investigators in order to change the content in the interests of the investigation.
For example, one of the witnesses, Skrypnyk, initially expressed doubts about the reality and probability of transferring cash to the accused's account. However, he later claims that his words were changed several times, paraphrased by investigators. Another witness also claims that he was helped to frame certain monetary transactions as "fictitious" even when they were not accompanied by cash transfers.
Lawyers also emphasize that bank employees claim that imitation or counterfeiting of cashless banking transactions is impossible, and the term "imitation" is unacceptable for banking transactions.
The chairman of the board of "Privatbank", Gerhard Bösch, said that the bank does not have any documents confirming the amount of damage caused. Kolomoiskyi's defense adds that the investigation could not prove that the oligarch caused material damage to Privatbank, and none of the 30 questioned witnesses confirmed such accusations.
We will remind that earlier the court increased the bail for Kolomoiskyi from 509 million hryvnias to the amount of 3 billion 891 million hryvnias in the case of seizure of 5.8 billion hryvnias.
