President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has published a video address, which expressed gratitude to the Ukrainian military, volunteers, doctors and all citizens who make efforts to win.
“Three years of resistance. Three years of gratitude. Three years of absolute heroism of Ukrainians. I am proud of Ukraine! Thank you to everyone who protects it and helps it. Everyone who works for Ukraine, ”the Head of State emphasized.
Zelensky also mentioned the fallen Ukrainians who gave their lives for the country's independence:
"The eternal memory of everyone who gave their lives for the sake of our country and people," the president wrote.
Australia has introduced new sanctions against
Australia announced a new package of sanctions against Russia on the anniversary of the invasion. According to the government of the country, these are the largest sanctions since February 2022.
Under the restrictions got:
- 70 individuals, including judges, "officials" of the occupation administration and persons involved in the forced deportation of Ukrainian children;
- 79 Russian organizations, including defense, transport and financial sectors;
- Structures and persons that contribute to the military cooperation of Russia and North Korea.
"The deepening of the Russian-North Korean military cooperation is a dangerous expansion of the war, which will have serious consequences for the safety of Europe and the Indo-Pacific region," the Australian government said in a statement.
In addition, Australia has introduced new restrictions on trade with Russia, including banning the supply of commercial drones and their components.
In total, in three years of the war, Australia has imposed more than 1,400 sanctions against the Russian Federation and has allocated more than $ 1.5 billion to help Ukraine, including over $ 1.3 billion - for military support.
World leaders arrived in Kiev to support Ukraine
Leading European politicians and representatives of partner countries came to Kiev on the third anniversary of a full-scale invasion of Kiev to demonstrate support for Ukraine and discuss further assistance.
