Heavy fog is expected in Kyiv, which significantly reduces visibility on the roads. According to forecasts of the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, fog will be observed in the capital until the end of the day with visibility from 200 to 500 meters. such weather conditions can create additional difficulties for road users.
Due to low visibility, experts recommend that drivers follow the following tips when driving in fog:
- reduce the speed of movement;
- if there are fog lights, turn them on together with the dipped beam;
- keep a safe distance from other cars;
- when stopping, turn on the emergency light alarm;
- avoid sharp maneuvers on the road.
Also, pedestrians are asked to follow safety rules. In particular, they urge you to be careful, to wear reflective elements - flickers, in order to be visible to drivers during fog and in the dark.
