The offensive of the defense forces in Kurshchyna
On February 7, the ISW analysts reported that Ukrainian defenders broke through the defense of the Russian Federation in Kurshchyna and advanced deep into the enemy territory. It was noted that the defense forces took positions south-west of Makhnovka and north and east of the Cherkasy Konopelka along the 38K-028 Sudzhi-Obama route and took Kolmak and Fanaseyevka.
In an interview with Reuters, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the defense forces have launched a new offensive in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. According to him, the Ukrainian military advanced in Kurshchyna 2.5 kilometers.
The head of state did not disclose other details, but said that thousands of military DPRK returned to active fighting in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation after a few weekend pauses.
