The eldest son of the Frontman of the band "Druzh River" Valery Kharchyshyn-27-year-old Dmitry-now serves in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a sapper. The artist told about it in an interview with Apostrophe, sharing his family's personal history.
Kharchyshyn confessed that his son had neither military training nor a desire to bind life with the army. On the contrary - after completing his studies at the Faculty of Philosophy, Dmitry considered the presence of weapons "human blunt", which leads to destruction. However, from the first months of a full -scale invasion, the guy voluntarily became the Armed Forces.
"He did not dream of becoming a military, neglected weapons ... But one way or another went to fight. He served in the northern direction. He is now undergoing officer courses and teaches other sappers," Valery said.
In addition to his son's experiences, the Frontman of the Second River noted that in his personal circle the war had taken away many people.
"My son went to fight with his friend who died. It was very painful. My brother, who was mobilized, is no longer fighting - he was seriously injured. Many losses among acquaintances, neighbors, classmates," Kharchyshyn confesses.
Dmitry is currently continuing the service, in a new role - he is preparing other servicemen to perform dangerous tasks for demining. And his father, musician and volunteer, does not stop supporting the defenders, using the scene as a platform to help the army and spread the truth about the war.
