25-year-old Hleb Overchuk, the eldest son of Ukrainian singer Iryna Bilyk, recently shared news about his life during the war and his efforts to support Ukraine. The musician, who now lives in Spain, took part in a rally in support of Ukraine held in Barcelona. The event was timed to mark the 1,000th anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and was attended by hundreds of dedicated Ukrainians and foreigners.
Hleb Overchuk, together with other participants of the action, held placards reminding of the crimes committed by the Russian occupiers in Ukraine, as well as calling for the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war who have been held in inhumane conditions in Russia for over two years. Protesters also called for increased funding and military aid to Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor. In the central streets of Barcelona, during the action, patriotic slogans sounded, and the participants sang the Ukrainian national anthem.
Overchuk actively supports his native country, publishing on social networks links to meetings for the needs of Ukrainian defenders. However, in addition to social activities, he is also engaged in music. Gleb is the drummer in and one of the co-founders of the Spanish band Emissary, which was formed only a year ago. The group is actively developing, and Overchuk continues his musical career in Spain.
